Clara Giner Franco is a flutist and performer specialized in contemporary music. Throughout her career she has collaborated with orchestras and ensembles such as the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra, Collegium Novum Zürich, Ensemble Contrechemps, Ensemble Ö!, Ensemble Inverspace, Holst Sinfonietta Freiburg and Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya.
She has been invited to festivals such as Lucerne Festival, Münchener Biennale, RESIS, ZeitRäume Basel, Impuls, Mehrlicht! Musik Berlin or ZeitGenuss Festival für Musik unserer Zeit Karlsruhe where she has worked with conductors such as Susanna Mälkki, Helena Schwarz, Bas Wiegers, Daniel Huertas, Jean-Philippe Wurtz, Beat Furrer, Thomas Adès, Sylvain Cambreling, Baldur Brönnimann, Jan Willem de Vriend, Vladimiri Ashkenazy, Christian Zacharias or Rinaldo Alessandrini. She also collaborates with composers such as Beat Furrer, Luis Codera, Francesco Filidei, Belenisch Moreno-Gil, Óscar Escudero, Hugo Gomez-Chao, Wolfang Rihm, Dieter Ammann and Tyshawn Sorey.
In 2023 she finished her master's degree in contemporary music at the Hochschule für Musik Basel FHNW (Switzerland) with professors Susanne Peters, Sarah Maria Sun, Marcus Weiss, Uli Fusseneger and Mike Svoboda with the highest qualifications. For her Master's final recital she received the prize for the best Master's project of the Hochschule für Musik Basel for the year 2022/23. Previously she studied bachelor and master at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe (Germany) with Professors Pirmin Grehl, Renate Greiss-Armin and Mathias Allin.
She is co-founder of Duet 2.26 together with Hèctor Rodríguez Palacios, with whom she won the Nicati Competition for Contemporary Music in 2023. Since September 2021 she is part of Arxis Ensemble (Galicia, Spain).
